I contacted Josh Janney at the Winchester Star and let him know where things stood with my health, and the Gaggle. I thought he would like some follow up information after writing an article about the Gaggle back in January about our Toys for Tots efforts.

I was actually a bit surprised he cared or even remembered, but he called me the same day I sent the e-mail. We talked a few times over the next 2 days, exchanged a few e-mails and his article came out today, April 27, 2016.

Gaggle Of Noobs In The News

Josh Janney from the Winchester Star called me and asked if it would be okay if the Winchester Star wrote an article about the Gaggle of Noobs and our fundraising. Of course I agreed because this would be a great reward for all the hard work the team has put in to remain a team, and to help get our hands on 100 Bikes and Helmets for Toys For Tots.

Josh did a good job and only a few things were a little off, but nothing major. For instance, we have 100 Members and 100 Supporters, it reads as if we only had 100 Members and Supporters combined. Plus me and Ed both bought Bikes, Helmets, Walkie Talkies and the other stuff. Which we did in 2011 and 2012 and we would habe done it again but Ed passed away. I wanted to honor Ed and thought the Gaggle could be a great help in doing that.

So minor issues, and overall, I think it was a good article letting the local folks know we are more than a bunch of knuckleheads out in the woods going Pew Pew with our paintball guns.
